Breakfast Oatmeal Recipe

 INGREDIENTS:

1⁄2 cup rolled oats

1 cup water (or unsweetened coconut or almond milk)

1 teaspoon coconut oil (or butter)

1⁄4 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon chopped walnuts (optional)

1 tablespoon hemp seeds (optional)

2 tablespoons fresh blueberries (optional)

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Combine oats, water, and salt in sauce pan

  2. Bring to a boil

  3. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 mins

  4. Stir in optional toppings

  5. Let sit for 2 minutes before serving

 

 

This recipe is a quick and easy way for a college student to eat a healthy but still yummy breakfast.

It takes less than 30 minutes to prepare and cook, which can be helpful for students with early classes

who need to eat something before they leave the dorm. The toppings can be substituted for whatever

you like as well, so it can be more personalized. Another option can be to put strawberries instead of

Chicken Salad Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise

  • 2 tablespoons sour cream

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

  • 4 cups shredded rotisserie chicken

  • 1-1/4 cups seedless red grapes, halved

  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

  • 1/2 cup chopped celery

  • 1/4 cup chopped sweet onion



INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Mix the first five ingredients together 

  2. Stir and mix until creamy sauce is achieved

  3. Mix together the sauce and the chicken

  4. Serve with bread

This recipe is a quick and healthy lunch option for people who want something easy to make while still

watching what they are eating. Although it may seem like there are a lot of ingredients, a lot of them are

common household items like mayonnaise or salt and pepper, which most college students already

have anyways. This chicken salad doesn't take long to prepare and make so it is perfect for college

dorms and students who need to eat in a rush or between classes.


Chicken Sandwich Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • Pinch of paprika 

  • 1 pound boneless chicken breast

  • 6 tablespoons olive oil vinaigrette

  • 18 basil leaves

  • 1/4 cup shredded cheese

  • bread of choice


INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Combine pepper salt and paprika into bowl

  2. Sprinkle over chicken

  3. Cook chicken in salad dressing for 4-5 minutes on each side

  4. Brush remaining dressing onto bread of choice

  5. Put together extra ingredients
